Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship Program
Overview and Mission
Thank you for your interest in the Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine fellowship program at North Alabama Medical Center (NAMC)!
This is a three-year training program with a focus on clinical experience yet offering dedicated time for scholarly projects. The program offers strong comprehensive clinical experience rooted in community-based health care with exposure to academic medicine through electives and away rotation. 
The fellows have exposure to a wide range of pathology across the different service lines including pulmonary services, bronchoscopy and critical care of medical, cardiac and surgical patients.
The program has a high faculty to fellow ratio, which allows a close net environment with close support and mentorship. A wide range of resources is available including simulation suite, bronchoscopy simulation equipment, board-prep materials and flexibility to support the trainees’ career goals.
Our Mission is to train competent and compassionate physicians through rigorous community-based training with a focus on high-quality patient care and scholarship of application and education.
