Florence

Florence is located in the northwest corner of Alabama along the picturesque Tennessee River. Together, Lauderdale and Colbert counties are known as “the Shoals”. We have four seasons of weather that allows us to enjoy green spaces, and take advantage of the abundant outdoor activities including kayaking, biking, hiking, and fishing.

Florence has a thriving economy and a very affordable cost of living. Life in the Shoals provides exposure to our local breweries, farmer’s markets and many local restaurants. The Shoals is known for its past and current music scene. The Rolling Stones, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, The Civil Wars, St. Paul and the Broken Bones and Jason Isbell are a few of the musicians that have recorded here. This is the home of multiple music venues, festivals and a record label. Surprisingly, Florence has couture fashion and is the home base of Billy Reid and Alabama.

Florence is centrally located between multiple metropolitan cities and is only two hours or less away from Nashville, Memphis, Huntsville and Birmingham.
