Job Shadowing and Observation
Welcome, Future Healthcare Professional!
Thank you for your interest in participating in a hospital job shadowing experience. This is a great opportunity to explore careers in healthcare, gain real-world insight, and observe professionals in action.
How to Apply:
- Review the job shadowing requirements
- Read the orientation packet
- Complete and submit all required forms
- Submit a copy of your ID (front and back)
- Enter your preferred date and time
- Minimum Age: Must be at least 16 years old
- Identification: Valid ID required for age verification
- Observation Student Orientation (read)
- Observation Student Training Application, Affirmation, and Quizzes
- Confidentiality Statement
- Observation Only: Students may observe only—no physical contact with patients.
- Restricted Areas: Shadowing is not permitted in:
* Nursery / Labor & Delivery (L&D)
- Scheduling: Shadowing is allowed on a rolling basis throughout the school year.
- Manager Discretion: Department Managers determine the schedule and process for completing shadowing.
